The app prioritizes the car’s needs over the humans’ inside it. For example, when I manually adjust a stop for a much-needed biobreak, the app keeps suggesting a ‘30-minute faster’ route, which is frustrating because:
It’s unclear whether the suggestion is due to charging optimization, traffic, or both.
Humans (especially on long trips) often need breaks more frequently than the car does!
Could you consider adding an option to:
Lock in manual stops (e.g., biobreaks) so they’re treated as non-negotiable waypoints?
Display separate time savings for charging vs. traffic, so users can make informed decisions?
Add a ‘human comfort’ toggle to balance efficiency with realistic break needs?
To address the last one, I’d love to see a new option in the Charge Stops settings (alongside Optimal, Fewer, and Fewest):
Human Comfort: Allow users to set:
How often they need breaks (e.g., every 1.5–2 hours).
Whether nearby toilets and food options are preferred or vital for their stops.
This would make ABRP even more user-friendly by balancing efficiency with real-world comfort needs.
And thanks for a good app.
