ABRP V5.5.0 Live traffic quality is miserable in germany
ABRP V5.5.0
iPhone 12 Pro iOS 18.1.1
I use ABRP Premium with Live Traffic. I have the automatic settings switched on, so real-time traffic is also switched on.
The live traffic quality of ABRP is awful in Germany, I mainly drive in Bavaria. Every day that I drive 83km to work, I would like to use ABRP exclusively in rush hour traffic, but since the accuracy of the traffic jam information is abysmally bad compared to Apple Maps (and Google Maps), I am forced to switch to Apple Maps every 5 to 10 minutes during the journey to find the best route with the least traffic jams and delays, and then back to ABRP.
The duration of the delay due to traffic jams and heavy traffic is sometimes estimated by ABRP to be up to 18 minutes shorter than is reality and as correctly displayed by Apple Maps.
For a distance of 77km, ABRP shows 46 minutes of travel time (screenshot #1), whereas Apple Map shows a realistic 64 minutes (screenshot #2), a difference of 18 minutes!

For the same route backwards on another day of 65km, ABRP shows a travel time of 53 minutes (screenshot #3), while Apple Map shows a realistic 65 minutes (screenshot #4), a difference of 12 minutes!

Which service provider provides the live traffic data in Germany again? The quality here needs to be improved urgently!

Perhaps a small tip for investigating the cause:
I have the impression that although traffic jams and delays are often marked in yellow or red, the associated time delay is not taken into account in the arrival time and journey duration.

Unfortunately, since V5.5.0 over a year ago, the calculation of estimated travel time with ABRP Lifetraffic has not improved in any way.
What is the problem? Either the traffic jam and road closure information from ABRP (at least in southern Germany) is not being evaluated correctly, or it is not being taken into account at all in the travel time calculation and, consequently, in the route guidance.
Current example: For a distance of 87 km, ABRP shows a travel time of 1 h 1 min via the A8
while Apple Map predicts the fastest route with a realistic 1h 12 min and shows a completely different route (south via the B17 to Landsberg am Lech and then east via the A96) – a difference of 11 minutes compared to ABRP! ABRP should also be able to find this route.
Google Maps also routes via the B17 to Landsberg am Lech and then the A96 towards Munich in view of massive traffic jams on the A8 before Munich, predicting a realistic 1h 16min minutes.
ABRP, on the other hand, mercilessly sends you into the massive traffic jam on the A8 before Munich without batting an eyelid, with a travel time of 106 minutes! (This numerical value for the route via the A8 is displayed on Apple Maps as the worst alternative.)
I am now really disappointed that ABRP is still unable to take traffic forecasts and congestion information into account in its route planning, even after more than a year and dozens of new app versions.
So, I'm sorry to say that ABRP can't be relied on to calculate the fastest route when there's traffic congestion!
Dear ABRP team, what is the cause of the problem? Apple and Google can correctly avoid massive traffic jams, so why can't ABRP do the same?

I see absolutely no improvement in life traffic accuracy in ABRP 6.1.1 (3513) within Germany.
Just today ABRP told me for my daily route normal driving time of 1h 5min, but Goggle Maps and Apple Maps spoke of a delay of nearly 30 minutes due to accidents on the highway.
The traffic delay is marked in the route ABRP in yellow and/or red color, but the duration of delay is not taken into the calculation at all!

Unfortunately, there has been no improvement in the quality of the traffic information so far.

Where does ABRP actually get its live data from?
And is there any way to report when the data is no longer accurate?
I wanted to plan a trip to Merano via the Timmelsjoch, which is open starting today, but ABRP won’t let me because it still thinks the pass is closed.
In TomTom it already shows as open and I can plan a route through it, but that doesn’t help me estimate the battery level.
In our town, it took a good four weeks before ABRP knew that a road was drivable again.

I had the same yesterday evening as we were approaching the Elbe tunnel in Hamburg. The routes were displayed dark red as the motorway was heavily congested. So the system knew of the traffic jam. Google told us a fairly accurate delay. ABRP showed 20 minutes less than it took in the end.
