ABRP uses Bing Maps, apparently
I’m looking at my “home” address on a map of Sierra Vista West in Rosharon, Texas. I moved home to Eau Claire, Wisconsin last year. There’s no way to change it in ABRP, making ABRP useless planning from home.
- Where does this happen?
- ABRP version number (found at bottom of settings menu)

PinnedHello @Theodore R. Zeck,
Where are you trying to change the home address in ABRP? There is an option to select “Set home” when you input an address.

By the way, it's probably just in Edge. So, actually, ABRP should ignore Edge and find a way to use the actual IP location and not rely on Edge, as it uses what's stuck in Microsoft's broken database.

Yes, I can set Wisconsin home, but not my current location…which should be my home. Instead, ABRP in Edge shows a dot for my current location in Rosharon, Texas. Its not cached in my PC. Trying to fix this months ago, I wiped my computer and reinstalled everything. Instead, it's because Microsoft removed the ability to set location in Windows 11 in May 2025 and whatever is stored in Microsoft geolocation servers is stuck there. If you search Microsoft support, you will see this is a known bug and Microsoft closes discussions as quickly as they appear. Microsoft has no intention of fixing it. Bing Maps is broken. No one should point their products at Bing Maps anymore.
