Since updating my iPhone to iOS 27, ABRP has become almost unusable when navigating through Apple CarPlay.
The main problem is severe GPS/map lag. The vehicle position does not update smoothly and can be significantly behind my actual position while driving. Navigation therefore becomes very difficult to use.
My setup:
• iPhone running iOS 27
• Peugeot e-Expert
• ABRP via Apple CarPlay
• Wireless CarPlay using a Sunweyer adapter
This setup worked correctly before updating to iOS 27.
I initially suspected the wireless CarPlay adapter, so I updated the Sunweyer to the latest firmware available to me (June 2025 firmware). Unfortunately, this has made no significant difference.
The CarPlay interface itself also seems somewhat less responsive since iOS 27, but the problem is particularly noticeable in ABRP, where the GPS position/map can lag badly enough to make live navigation impractical.
I will also test ABRP using a direct wired CarPlay connection to eliminate the wireless adapter completely.
Are you aware of an iOS 27/CarPlay GPS or map-refresh issue, and is this something currently being investigated?
I would be happy to provide logs, ABRP version details or carry out any additional testing that would help diagnose it.
