ABRP UI slows down when using OBD2 with e-208

Sometimes when using ABRP in my e-208 with OBD2 (with Kungfuren BT4.0 OBD2 dongle on Google Pixel 4a (5G)) the app will slow down extremely so that it becomes almost unusable. Single actions take tens of seconds. It appears the OBD communication produces a high load and a lot of locking sometimes.
