ABRP share to google maps works only occasionally

The ABRP share function (Open in google maps) is not loading its route into Google Maps for many of the attempts. Out of many attempts, only a few result in Google Maps actually loading the route that was defined in ABRP. For most of the attempts Google Maps opens with no route loaded. This is true even when I reboot the phone prior to the attempt, or if I close all open apps prior to the attempt. I have no idea what is different between the attempts that succeed and those that fail. My phone is a Google Pixel 6 running Android 12, google maps 11.36.2, and ABRP 4.2.8
