ABRP on Android Auto crashing

Hi,

I’ve been experiencing a crashing problem with ABRP on my VW Id.3. (software version 3.7)

It randomly shuts down and starts over again. Every once in a while… approximately once or twice in an hour. Recently, ABRP has been saying “unidentified problem. Wait or shut down” or something in that effect. These problems are quite annoying to say the least, in otherwise great app.

Where does this happen?

    Did these crashes occur in the most recent updates or has it been going on for a while?

      Hi,

      In general, for a while. It previously has been randomly restarting all by itself. After this last update, these “unidentified problem. Wait or shut down” fails have also occured. They didn’t exist in earlier versions. After I choose “shut down” and restart the app on Android Auto, it works normally…until the next error which will occur quite randomly.

        What happens if you drive with Google Maps or Apple Maps, do you also get issues like these on their navigation maps?

          Haven’t tried those as of yet..only ABRP and sometimes Volkswagen’s own navigation.

            Have you tried looking in your phone settings and whether you have location set to “always allow”? Please check this and change it if that is not active already. Send a screenshot of these settings to us.
