ABRP incorrectly gives directions back to a charging stop

On a recent drive, I was guided into a charging stop by ABRP. I charged to the recommended SOC and then drove off, assuming ABRP would recognise that I had completed the charge stop. Instead, I soon discovered, it started issuing directions to get me to turn around and go back to that charger. The app was not running during the charging session.

Surely ABRP can be a bit more intelligent here? When ABRP was restarted, I was positioned very close to the charging stop and at the required SOC. Isn’t that a good clue?

    Which one of your cars do you refer to and what kind of live data do you use?

      2022 Hyundai IONIQ 5 RWD, and I use an OBD2 dongle plus live traffic (premium).

        Your OBD is not connected so you need to relink it. The latest date we got data was the 18th.

          Is that not useful data? I don’t leave my dongle connected when not in use. What is it that you need?

            Was the drive before the 18th? If your OBD was not connected during the drive we didn’t get data from your car.

              The drive in question was on the 18th. There was only one charging stop, which is where the bug was observed.

                We have not registered the charging. It seems like the new SoC didn’t update until after you started driving. Could you see the soc read from the OBD with a green connected BT icon or did you just saw the soc from the car display?

                  I charged again at around 23 Jan 00:00 UTC. The same thing happened — in fact, I even pressed the “Charging complete” button in the app. Then I was given directions back to the charger.

                    Was the Bluetooth symbol green and did the SoC change after you pressed Charging complete?

                      I believe so. The new SOC was being shown.

    I think this can be closed. It works now. Maybe I was just doing something dumb.
