Ability to add a charging stop to a plan already calculated

Why can't you add a stop to a charger while on a plan? I didn't find a way. I could add a stop for food, restroom, etc, but not a charger.

Use Case:

I left with an hour to spare on a 4 hour route to a Drs appt in case there was unexpected traffic. I realized I'd arrive very early and since I was going to drive back right after, I wanted to charge before the appointment instead of waiting until after.

I could cancel my current plan to locate one, but then I wouldn’t know what impact this would have on my arrival time estimate.

Ultimately, I wanted until after, meaning the overall trip took longer.

Others have suggested: “

I could see another scenario where you (or a passenger) needs a stop and it would be great to have that stop be an opportunity charge.”

    Do you mean that you want to add the charger while driving or while you are stationary. Where do you want to add the charging station in this case (via the ABRP app on your phone or the plan on the infotainment screen in your vehicle)? Please specify this information for us.

      While driving on a plan via CarPlay. You can already route to charger when not on a plan. You can already add a stop at a restaurant while on a plan. I was thinking you add a charging option to the same list. Thank you for considering.

    I confirm that point. In Android Auto I have only the possibility to define a charging point, which was previously selected on the map during navigation, as destination (by taping on the arrow/navigate icon), but I cannot add this charger as way point (e.g. with a “+” icon near to navigate icon). This has the consequence, that my previously planned route will be cancelled and replaced by the route to this charger.
