Vgate ODB connection with 2024 Audi Q8 etron - SoC stuck at 2%

I purchased the Vgate vLinker MC+ to connect between my 2024 Audi Q8 etron and ABRP. It connected quite easily. But.. unfortunately, the SoC is permanently stuck on 2%, regardless of my actual charge status. See photos below.

I’ve updated the firmware on the vLinker. I’ve updated the ABRP app to latest. Using an iPhone 15 Pro.

I’ve deleted and readded my vehicle more times than I can count. I’ve relinked the Vgate each time. It always puts my SoC at 2%, which makes the entire app unusable.

Help.

Where does this happen?

    Hi

Can you please send a bug report after initializing the connection of the OBD?

First you need to enable the bug button in the settings. Go to the settings and scroll all the way down.

The bug button will show on your screen. When the OBD is connected to your car and the car is in drive mode click at the button. Then let me know when you have done this.

Two bug reports sent. One at 9:31am (eastern US time) prior to starting the car. One at 9:33am, upon start of the car and in drive.

Screenshots are also below. Audi shows me having a 33% SoC. ABRP is now showing 1%.

My colleague can’t unfortunately I don't see what could be wrong. Have you tried to connect to carscanner app and see what they report?

I think you guys are pulling SoC Display %… which Car Scanner shows anywhere between 0% and 2%. There are other data points which show the actual SoC - one is “Battery Charge Level” as well as “Minimum cell SoC” and “Maximum cell SoC” which shows at the correct SoC of the vehicle. See attached screenshots. If you want any other specific data from Car Scanner, let me know.

It seems that the pids are not correct for your car model. You need to find the pids that works and then we can add them.

Can you log the data via carscanner where it shows the correct SoC and send us the logfile?
