We've just released a new vehicle modeling tool in the ABRP beta that lets you create custom models while waiting for the public model.

You can use an existing model to only change what differs for a missing trim or model year, or create a completely new model from scratch.

You can create and edit your custom models on the web at https://abetterrouteplanner.com/home/app/vehicles (log in with your regular ABRP account). If you're not already on the beta app, follow the instructions at https://abrp.featurebase.app/help/articles/7281877-installing-the-abrp-beta-version for how to join on each platform.

Once you’ve created a vehicle model, you’ll find it at the top of the vehicle list in ABRP under “Custom vehicles”.

An easy way to get started from inside ABRP is:

    1. Open ABRP and click Add vehicle on the vehicle card (or click the down arrow next to your current vehicle, then choose Add new vehicle).

    2. Scroll to the bottom of the vehicle list and click Missing vehicle model?.

    3. Click Create custom vehicle.

    4. Pick a similar model and edit, or start from scratch, then save.

After you save, you'll be taken back into ABRP with your new custom vehicle automatically selected.

We'd love your feedback on this beta feature so we can polish it and make it as useful as possible.

Are the custom models sharable/public, so everyone isn't reinventing the wheel?

You can share the car with a link. When we have reviewed cars that we see is working we can add them in the vehicle list.

Would love this model to get added.

There are three trims/variants of this model:

MG MG4 Urban Comfort Standard Range - https://ev-database.org/car/3470/MG-MG4-Urban-Standard-Range

MG MG4 Urban Confort Long Range - https://ev-database.org/car/3471/MG-MG4-Urban-Comfort-Long-Range

MG MG4 Urban Premium Long Range - https://ev-database.org/car/3472/MG-MG4-Urban-Premium-Long-Range

The links are to EV Database which should hopefully make identifying all the trims easier.
