PinnedWe've just released a new vehicle modeling tool in the ABRP beta that lets you create custom models while waiting for the public model..
You can use an existing model to only change what differs for a missing trim or model year, or create a completely new model from scratch.
You can create and edit your custom models on the web at https://abetterrouteplanner.com/home/app/vehicles (log in with your regular ABRP account). If you're not already on the beta app, follow the instructions at https://abrp.featurebase.app/help/articles/7281877-installing-the-abrp-beta-version for how to join on each platform.
Once you’ve created a vehicle model, you’ll find it at the top of the vehicle list in ABRP under “Custom vehicles”.
An easy way to get started from inside ABRP is:
Open ABRP and click Add vehicle on the vehicle card (or click the down arrow next to your current vehicle, then choose Add new vehicle).
Scroll to the bottom of the vehicle list and click Missing vehicle model?.
Click Create custom vehicle.
Pick a similar model and edit, or start from scratch, then save.
After you save, you'll be taken back into ABRP with your new custom vehicle automatically selected.
We'd love your feedback on this beta feature so we can polish it and make it as useful as possible.

I think it is a better idea that ABPR makes a better update of all the new models of Nissan in 2026 in the app. Including Nissan Leaf Engage plus with 75 kWh battery

We have made this tool because we can’t keep up with all the new models coming out. We don’t just put the car name in the list. We need to collect all the data about the car and model it so it works in the app. This takes time and we are still not many people working with this app.

That might be useful if I had any clue where to find seemingly important details like Charge curve: Inherit/Time interval/Power curve and Chemistry for my car.
The 2026 Nissan LEAF has significant differences from previous models. So, basing a custom model on an existing entry won’t work.

I was able to look up the properties of the 2026 Nissan Leaf Platinum+ and add it in as a custom car. Does this show up for everyone or just me? If just for me, how can I share it to the community?
Also, I have a question. In North America, the 2026 Nissan Leaf has two charging ports - a NACS (SAE J3400) port for DC fast charging on the passenger side and a SAE J1722 (J-Plug/Type 1 North America) port for AC slow charging on the driver’s side. Is there any way to specify that? Does it matter if I specify the two different ports?
Also, a nice feature would be to specify where on the car the charging port(s) are located.

None of the 2026 Nissan Leaf trims are available on abrp. The 2026 Leaf is a dramatically different vehicle than previous years models. We can’t accurately plan a route with a 2022 model.

With all due respect; i have wanted to use ABRP for months, but I’m very confused as to why the 2026 Leaf is taking so long to add. Chargeway has had the car available in their database for route planning; what is holding ABRP back from at least adding the vehicle as an estimate, at the least?

+1. As a note, the US model uses NACS for its fast charge port and J1772 for its AC charging port and has an EPA rated range of 303mi for the S+ model.

Anything else you need from us to get started on this? Do you need more info? A certain number of upvotes? A plate of warm cookies? A foot rub?

This would be a great addition for route planning since the 2026 LEAF now supports NACS fast charging and long-distance travel much better than previous generations.

Way past time to add all the upgraded specs on the 2026 Nissan Leaf. ABRP overestimates the charge used and stops needed by using earlier year specs. Posts below give you all you need.

It’s a longer range version, and the S+ model has no integrated GPS with range estimation. Would subscribe to Premium, like many others.
