OBD support for Ford Capri
Hello, I've seen that you've integrated the Ford Capri into the vehicles, that's great.
However, there's no link for an OBD connection, is that normal? Because we can't see our base live.
Will there be an update to fix the problem?
Thank you in advance.
Thank you in advance.

PinnedHi,
We need the OBD PID commands and how to interpret the returned data. Since this is not easily available for most vehicles there is not possibility for us to provide a time estimate.
You can check our telemetry API for relevant properties:
documenter.getpostman.com/view/7396339/SWTK5a8w
Also, you can check our (partially outdated) OBD repository to see what other cars report:
https://www.github.com/iternio/ev-obd-pids
If you find that an existing vehicle profile reads data correctly, please let us know, but please DO NOT keep using the incorrect vehicle model with live data.

Could be that the PIDs we use for an already supported vehicle model could work. Here’s what you can do once you have access to the vehicle and a dongle;
Select the actual model of your car, save it
In vehicle settings, change the model of the saved vehicle to one that you suspect has compatible OBD commands (just any model will not work, it needs to be compatible)
Link the vehicle via OBD (details here; OBD Connection )
Select the correct vehicle model again
After verifying that the data is read correctly (or even partially correctly) notify us that the OBD commands for vehicle model X also works for vehicle model Y.

I have a Ford Capri Premium Extended Range AWD + heatpump. The car platform is same as the Ford Explorer (Extended Range AWD). I have a Capri and if I set the car to Ford Explorer (Extended Range AWD) and set the in-car live data connection to “ABRP OBD Connection”, it works with the Capri too (with an OBDLink CX adapter). You can check it in my account. So please copy paste this feature if possible. Thanks a lot.

Great! Thank you for testing it out. (Please make sure to select the correct vehicle model again for your saved vehicle.)

I’m sure, that the saved vehicle in my account is a Ford Explorer Extended Range AWD and I renamed it to “Ford Capri Premium Extended Range AWD: heatpump (which I have). I will change the vehicle model, when the Capri knowns the OBD connection in the ABRP. The Ford Capri and the Ford Explorer are same cars by the electronics (hardware and software system) with different chassis.

OBD support for Ford Capri
I am using a ICar Pro 2s dongle with my ABRP premium subscription, but the app does not connect with the dongle or vice versa. So as a result the app can not read any vehicle live-data such as SoC etc. I have ckecked the dongle connection with the Car Scanner app and that is working fine. I am driving a Ford Capri AWD (VW MEB based).

Hello,
When will live data integration be available for the Ford Capri? It currently works by selecting the Explorer model, but I would like my vehicle model to appear correctly on ABRP.
Thank you.

Ford capri EV --> ABRP
hank you for creating the parameters required to pair an OBDII dongle for Ford Capri EV vehicles.
At the moment, I’ve had to configure my car as a Ford Explorer EV in order to enable communication between the vehicle and the app.”

2026 Ford Capri 82kWh Extended Range 286PS AT RWD
The OBD II BLE dongle cannot be configured; indeed, no configuration is possible between the Ford Capri and the ABRP app, either for live data transmission or for data retrieved from the server.

SOC Gleichung = A*0.4425-8.1947
Ansonsten gleich wie Ford Explorer EV oder VW ID.4.
