    Hi,

We need the OBD PID commands and how to interpret the returned data. Since this is not easily available for most vehicles there is not possibility for us to provide a time estimate.

You can check our telemetry API for relevant properties:
    documenter.getpostman.com/view/7396339/SWTK5a8w

Also, you can check our (partially outdated) OBD repository to see what other cars report:
    https://www.github.com/iternio/ev-obd-pids

If you find that an existing vehicle profile reads data correctly, please let us know, but please DO NOT keep using the incorrect vehicle model with live data.

Hello, I am using a Vgate Icar Pro 2 S model OBD device, but your ABRP application does not support our Byd Seul U Ev vehicle. For this reason, the connection with the vehicle cannot be established. Models such as Atto 3 and Seal can be established, but the Seul U Ev, also known as Song Plus, cannot be established. This needs to be updated. We purchased the application but we cannot use it. This is nonsense.

It’s been almost a year, but we still cannot use our BYD SEAL U EV with ABRP. Are you planning to release an update for this? How difficult can it be, when we are providing you with all the necessary data and information? While all other BYD models are supported by ABRP, the SEAL U EV is still not included. Many people have reported this issue to you, yet no action has been taken. Please either add our vehicle to the ABRP application or clearly tell us so that we know not to use ABRP anymore.

    Could be that the PIDs we use for an already supported vehicle model could work. Here’s what you can do once you have access to the vehicle and a dongle;

    1. Select the actual model of your car, save it

    2. In vehicle settings, change the model of the saved vehicle to one that you suspect has compatible OBD commands (just any model will not work, it needs to be compatible)

    3. Link the vehicle via OBD (details here; Link your vehicle via an OBD device )

    4. Select the correct vehicle model again

    5. After verifying that the data is read correctly (or even partially correctly) notify us that the OBD commands for vehicle model X also works for vehicle model Y.

I tried but it failed to connect with the car as 3rd step. Please look at the picture attached.

Ok, you can check the recommendations in I cannot seem to link my vehicle via OBD. What can I do?

But, otherwise I think we can conclude that the existing PIDs for BYD are not compatible with the Seal U Design model. Which model did you select when testing?

I had previously informed you that I could not connect to the BYD SEUL U model. Then you opened the obd section. Now I installed the application as apk on the vehicle and when I selected BY

D Seal and atto 3 models, it was able to connect with obd. I wonder if you can activate it for BYD SEUL U again? So I can check whether it works or not.

          Hi @User,

We don’t publish APKs, so what you’ve installed likely comes from an unapproved third-party. We do not recommend such sources.

Looking at your account, I cannot see that we have received any live data for the vehicle. I would also say that it is highly unlikely that you would get an OBD to communicate data via Bluetooth from the vehicle, to the vehicle itself.

As other users have reported, the connection does not seem to work with other BYD profiles which is why we currently believe the Seal U uses other OBD commands.

Obd was plugged in again. I just couldn't connect from the phone, I connected with the apk in the car and I wanted to share it with you. I thought maybe it would help. I removed the apk from the vehicle upon your suggestion.

It will be great to be able to use abrp with live data. I would like it to be active for BYD SEUL U as soon as possible. If there is anything I can do, I always want to help. Best regards

For the Byd seul U Ev model, I tried what you mentioned below with other supported byd models, but the connection could not be established. How can I find the vehicle with the same PID? @Katya Skog

If it doesn’t work, this means we do not currently possess compatible PIDs.
