OBD support for Jeep Avenger (using Citroën ë-C4 PIDs)
Please add obd support for Jeep Avenger. I actually connect my dongle using Citroën ë-C4 that works perfectly… why not use same connection with Jeep avenger?
- What type of vehicle connection is this?

PinnedHi all,
We’ve now enabled OBD as a live data option for the Jeep Avenger models. Special thanks to @Luca Scarponi for letting us know the Citroën ë-C4 PIDs were compatible 😊

PinnedHi,
We need the OBD PID commands and how to interpret the returned data. Since this is not easily available for most vehicles there is not possibility for us to provide a time estimate.
You can check our telemetry API for relevant properties:
documenter.getpostman.com/view/7396339/SWTK5a8w
Also, you can check our (partially outdated) OBD repository to see what other cars report:
https://www.github.com/iternio/ev-obd-pids
If you find that an existing vehicle profile reads data correctly, please let us know, but please DO NOT keep using the incorrect vehicle model with live data.

Hi @Luca Scarponi,
Do you mean that data is read correctly from the Avenger when you have selected the Citroën ë-C3 profile?

Hi Katya,
Yes, I confirm that live data is read correctly from my Jeep Avenger when using the Citroën ë-C3 profile. It works perfectly with my current OBD dongle vLinker iCar Pro 2S OBD2 Bluetooth Adapter).
Since both vehicles share the same platform and technology, I believe adding proper support for the Jeep Avenger would require minimal adjustments, using the same PIDs as for the ë-C3.
Please let me know if there’s any additional information I can provide to assist in this process.
Thank you!

Hi Katya,
I need to clarify that the Citroën ë-C3 profile I am using is specifically for the 51 kWh model. Since both vehicles share the same platform and technology, I believe this could help simplify the process of adding proper support for the Jeep Avenger.
Thank you again for your support!

Thank you for clarifying!
While we review this, please make sure to have the correct vehicle model selected, in other words; after linking using the “incorrect” profile, then please switch back to make the saved vehicle a Jeep Avenger again.

Hi Katya,
I need to apologize for a mistake in my previous message. I was relying on memory rather than checking directly in the app, and I mistakenly mentioned the wrong vehicle profile. The correct profile I am using is for the Citroën ë-C4 51 kWh, not the ë-C3.
I’ve tested it thoroughly, and it works perfectly with my Jeep Avenger using my OBD dongle (iCar Pro BLE by Vgate). From what I understand, the ë-C3 and the ë-C4 differ mainly in battery size, so I believe the data compatibility should be similar between them and the Avenger.
Thank you for your understanding, and please let me know if there’s anything else I can do to assist!

Ah, thanks for checking that does make sense as it shares platform with Peugeot e-2008, Vauxhall Mokka and Citroën ë-C4. I’ve updated the ticket.

Hi Katya,
I need to apologize for a mistake in my previous messages. I was relying on memory rather than checking directly in the app, and I mistakenly mentioned the wrong vehicle profile. The correct profile I am using is for the Citroen e C4 51 kWh, not the eC3
I’ve tested it thoroughly, and it works perfectly with my Jeep Avenger using my OBD dongle (iCar Pro BLE by Vgate). Since the Jeep Avenger and Citroen eC4 share the same platform and technology, I believe this could help simplify the process of adding proper support for the Avenger.
