Why no plug in hybrid vehicles on the ABRP app?
Hello, with the rise of plug in hybrids why not add PLUGIN HYBRIDS to your list of vehicles? We see other users requesting for the last three years and getting rejected. This app is of no use to me and will delete it unless you add plugin hybrids like Kia Sportage PHEV.

PinnedHello @ABRP User #2963857,
The app is designed primarily for EV vehicles and route planning for them since they rely solely on the charging for their batteries. Plug-in hybrids use other engines running on gas or diesel and this would make it very complicated for the app to understand. We are also adding more EV vehicles to the app with other features and therefore we will not be featuring hybrids in ABRP.

Is it totally unreasonable to say PHEV drivers want help finding EV chargers along a route.
It feels like ABRP is focusing on being 100% mathematically correct. Is it crazy to say even with EV vehicles there are things you can’t predict, like chargers breaking right before arrival etc.
This is going to sound harsh, your resistance to not even trying after 3+ years is narrow minded. What about the option of making a disclaimer on lack of accuracy for hybrids and complexities.
Or as an alternative, make a disclaimer prior to users signing up… saying “if you have a hybrid this app is not for you”. Versus gathering our info, going thru the two factor authentication and then not being able to use the app.
