Why is ABRP showing these alternate routes?

Questions

On a recent road trip, I got a couple of alternate suggested routes but they seem completely useless—much longer and one out of the way. Why are they even offered?

    Hi

Not everyone wants to take the fastest route. Some routes are off the highway, some are marked with Saves energy.
