Volvo EX60 data

This weekend we got our 2027 Volvo EX 60. I’ve been a user of ABRP for six or seven years. I’m familiar with the interface and yet must be missing something. I am not getting love data through the android system in the Volvo (with ABRP installed from Play store), nor am I getting the option in the app to use Encode.

Please advise on either approach to getting live data. Thank you!

What type of vehicle connection is this?

    Hello @ABRP User #89543,

The Enode option appears for us when selecting the vehicle? Can you try re-adding it to your saved vehicles?

I now see a third option, “Car Scanner”, but it is not Encode.

Are you based in Europe or USA? The Enode connection for Volvo is only available in Europe.

Hello. What other options are you able to find, which can get the live data working? Thank you.

The other option are either Android Automotive or an OBD device that you connect with the Car Scanner method available. You can read more about OBD devices and how they work here: Link your vehicle via an OBD device

Thank you. In response to your comment today about using android auto, that is where I think this support dialog first started. I have ABRP downloaded from the Google play store. It is installed in the cars Google operating system (and reinstalled multiple times). ABRP gets location and speed, but I am not getting state of charge and battery use information. I welcome your advice. Thank you.

Do you mean that you are using Android Automotive currently without it being connected? In the last screenshot, it showed as not connected.

Hello @Mahde - ABRP I see that Enode is now available for EX60. Can you please update me on when this will be available to US based users of ABRP?

Please find three screen shots. First, showing original Volvo in dark green at the top and newly added white Volvo. Then showing addition page and live data. The live data page does not show Encode.

On a drive yesterday, ABRP did record the history, which included speed, location and elevation. However it did not record energy consumed or SOC. With a 3 day trip starting Friday, it would be great to have ABRP working. Thanks so much for any help.

Hello @Mahde - ABRP . I thought it would be best to go back to the original post and question regarding lack of complete EX69 Live Data. The EX60 does not yet have CarPlay nor Android Auto. What it has is Google built in, including Play, Maps, Gemini, etc. You will see from the log data that the EX60 is sending some live data to ABRP such as speed, elevation, and location. It doesn’t have SoC, consumption, etc. It is as if the battery info is all missing.

I have documented the following screen shots, available online-

    • First of the ABRP App running. Note the different battery percentages for Volvo - on left is the actual car status (87%), top right (46%) and our Tesla Model Y (40%).

    • Second see the ABRP App v 7.1.3, which is from Google Play store.

    • Third, I have all the permissions screens from the Google built in. From my review, all of the necessary permissions are correct.

    Please advise. Thank you!
