Vlinker MC+ won’t pair

Unable to establish BLE contact with Vgate vLinker MC+ in either Renault Zoe or MG Cyberster. When scanning for OBD the App just round and rounds and gets nowhere- in fact App looks like it has crashed as not responsive until after restarting it. car Scanner links with the OBD dongle with no problems (not connected when trying with ABRP)
