Three bars (red / green) besides SOC on Apple Carplay

What is the meaning of the three bars besides the SOC for the next charging stop widget in Apple Carplay? Sometimes they are solid green, sometimes just a red outline - I can‘t figure out the meaning…

And by the way: for the charging station itself: green is available, solid red is occupied - what is again the red / orange outline for?
