Please Note: This is a completely new, physically distinct Long Wheelbase (LWB) model variant recently launched for 2026 (6-seater, 2-2-2 configuration).
It is currently entirely missing from the ABRP vehicle selection tool. Because this vehicle features a completely different battery architecture, a revised aerodynamic profile, and altered consumption characteristics, using existing standard Model Y profiles results in significantly flawed range and charging estimations. Key Differentiators from Standard Model Y:
Stretched Platform: The wheelbase is extended by 150 mm (3,040 mm total) and overall vehicle length is increased to 4,969 mm.
Significantly Larger Battery: Uses a unique, high-capacity 88.2 kWh gross / 86 kWh usable NMC battery pack, compared to the standard 75 kWh pack found in the regular Long Range variants.
Altered Aerodynamics & Efficiency: Features a modified, longer roofline, unique rear spoiler design, and standard 19-inch Machina 2.0 aerodynamic wheels that significantly change the drag coefficient. Official WLTP efficiency is rated at 12.6 kWh/100km (126 Wh/km), granting it a substantially higher 681 km WLTP range despite the larger body. Full Technical Specifications for Modeling:
Make/Model: Tesla Model Y L Premium Long Range AWD
Model Year: 2026
Seating Configuration: 6-seater (2-2-2 layout)
Battery Capacity: 88.2 kWh gross (86 kWh usable)
Battery Chemistry: Lithium Nickel Manganese Cobalt (NMC)
WLTP Driving Range: 681 km
WLTP Consumption: 12.6 kWh/100km (126 Wh/km)
Drive Type: Dual-Motor All-Wheel Drive
Total Power / Torque: 378 kW / 590 Nm
Kerb Weight: 2,088 kg (approximately 96 kg heavier than the short-wheelbase equivalent)
DC Fast Charging: Peak 250 kW (CCS2)
AC Charging: 11 kW (Three-phase) Adding this distinct profile is essential for owners to plan highway road trips accurately without encountering severe under-estimation of state-of-charge (SoC) at arrival.
