Rerouting due to traffic?

I’m wondering if routes are adapted while driving when e.g. a traffic jams, accidents or other relevant things occur?
I got stuck in traffic jams twice and they were already reported a while ago on e.g. Google Maps.

Also the live traffic seems a bit odd - so traffic is shown with red on the ramp off the Autobahn, where of course most people slow down :). Which is normal - so makes no sense to show. Same for roundabouts.

So, basically three questions:

1. is the routing adaptive and does rerouting occur when neccessary/useful?

2. is the realtime traffic a bit odd or delayed in certain areas?

3. why is realtime traffic only shown when an active navigation is running?
