Possible regression: Route plan refuses to use Chesapeake Bay bridge

Questions

I’m looking at a route I drive often, northern Virginia to Delaware beaches. The optimal path is route 50 over the Chesapeake Bay bridge. No matter what I do, ABRP won’t create a route using the bridge. I checked, the bridge is open. I am not avoiding bridges or tolls. It’s routing near the bridge to charge, and then going all the way up to NJ and back down to avoid the bridge, doubling the drive time. I seem to recall this happening years ago; I think at that time it was because it thought the bridge was only drivable when heading west. Is this a regression?

      I tried to provide you with a link, but I cannot.

      1. When I use saved addresses - my home, and my vacation home, the bad routing occurs.

      2. If I change the addresses to be generic - the center of town for both the origin and destination, the bad routing doesn’t occur.

      Since these links are public, and I don’t want to share specific addresses, I can’t comply. Let me know how I can share it privately.

      Well.. take what I wrote above with a grain of salt. I just got the odd routing behavior using center of town. I don’t know what changed, but here are the links.

        I get the bridge on both ways. Maybe you need to clear the cache on your computer.

        I also get the bridge on iOS. Do you have the latest version 7.0.5?

          Yes. I followed the route link I posted earlier and it also now routes over the bridge. It appears the bug is intermittent.
