The refreshed 2025 Porsche Taycan is available as a sedan (saloon), Sport Turismo, and Cross Turismo, with trims from base to 4S, Turbo, and Turbo S. It uses a new 105 kWh gross (97 kWh usable) Performance Battery Plus or a 89 kWh gross (83 kWh usable) Performance Battery. EPA ranges vary from ~240 to ~300 mi depending on trim, body style, and wheel size.
The 800-volt architecture supports up to 320 kW DC fast charging, with a 10–80% charge time of ~18 minutes under ideal conditions, and AC charging up to 11 kW (optional 22 kW). Porsche improved efficiency with a new rear motor, inverter, and thermal management. The update also reduces consumption in real-world driving compared to earlier Taycan models.
Aerodynamics (Cd 0.22–0.26), rolling resistance, and wheel choice significantly impact range. ABRP should model multiple trims separately, as performance models (Turbo / Turbo S) consume more energy than the base or 4S.
Note: ABRP currently list 2024+ Taycan but that is INNACURATE. The 2nd generarion (2025) was release at the end of 2024, but it is officially called the 2025 models. And it comes with the long range battery as an option, officially called ‘Performance Battery Plus’.
