OBD commands for Toyota BZ4X work for Lexus RZ 450e and 300e
I see that the RZ 450e doesn’t have OBD support. I have a RZ 300e (which hasn’t been added as a vehicle yet) and as the RZ 450e doesn’t have OBD support, used other vehicles that do (specifically the Toyota BZ4X and Genesis GV60 which have similar battery packs and ranges) and it worked well, uploading all my RZ 300e’s data accurately. So it will work on this vehicle but I feel the ability to connect to OBD just needs to be added.
OBD commands for Toyota BZ4X work for Lexus RZ 300e
I was told by ABRP moderator to post the following:
OBD commands for Toyota BZ4X work on my 2024 Lexus RZ 300e.
- What type of vehicle connection is this?

Thanks for the testing - we have now enabled OBD for the Lexus as well!

This is great news! Thank you so much! Any idea if the Lexus RZ 300e will be added as well?

All Lexus models available in ABRP should have OBD enabled now.

Thanks but the Lexus RZ 300e is not a listed model. Can ABRP add it as a model?

2026 Lexus RZ350e ODB support is added but does not connect. I have left many streams and bug reports in this forum with ZERO support and forward movement. Any assistance is appreciated.

Hello Denny - thanks, we have just tagged the Lexus RZ 2026 model to use the same OBD commands as the BZ4X 2026. Let me know if it works for you.
You probably have to restart ABRP to re-download the correct commands.

Well. I “unlinked” from the ODB 2026 Toyota bZ4x Limited FWD katashiki, as this most resembles the 2026 Lexus RZ 350e FWD. I then selected the 2026 Lexus RZ 350e FWD and still get an error shown above. No difference and no better. I switched back to the 2026 Toyota bZ4x Limited FWD and the connection was restored with no issue. SoC was closer but still not correct.
Therefore, still not working for my Lexus.

I have been able to reset the vehicle selection and was successful in the OBD connection. However, with it only being a copy of the 2026 Toyota, the SoC is still wrong. Also since no power is able to be seen in the PID’s, perhaps this will never be accurate. What can be done to correct and improve this???

Hello Denny,
We have only very limited OBD commands for the 2026 models, so right now SoC is the only thing we have and that seems to have an offset between the “true” battery SoC and and what is shown in the display. Can you give us some samples of what ABRP reports vs what is shown in the vehicle?

Of course. I have attached the images from the ABRP screen and the dash for the stated SoC. It is consistently 2-4% gap with ABRP always higher that the stated SoC of the vehicle.

Could you help us by using the PID editor of ABRP and modify the SoC equation to better match what you are seeing? (Some cars have a non-linear transform of “true” SoC to what is shown in the display, so it will never be perfect).
The equation in question is currently (A*100/255 * 1.125) - 2.8

I agree that the equation you mentioned above is the current equation. This morning, I have the opposite condition where ABRP shows, now, only 1 % difference on the lower side of what is on the dash (images attached).
How would you like me to edit the equation??
