No dark mode on Android auto

I can't get abrp to go into dark mode on my audi mmi android auto display. Google maps and waze can go into dark mode but not abrp. Abrp will go into dark mode on phone. I would prefer to keep using abrp but can't use at night and can't justify keeping a subscription to an app I can only use during the day.
