Meaning of little arrow

Sometimes I have a kind of little double arrow next to the level of battery. It is mostly green, but sometimes red. What does it mean?

    It is the green “double arrow” next to the percentage of battery, that I’m asking about. Sometimes it is red instead. I would like to know what it means.

      That’s the Android Auto symbol, indicating how fresh the live data from AA is.
