2022+ Kia Niro EV (name correction)

Hi there!

The model Kia e-niro from 2022+ is named incorrectly in your list. The proper name should be Kia Niro EV SG 2, not Kia e-niro.

Regards,

Dirk

Are you requesting a new vehicle model or reporting an issue with an existing one?

    Hi @Dirk Kutscher,

I can recognise that the e has been dropped for models 2022 and onwards but I’m not familiar with ‘SG2’ in the name, at least not for Sweden, does the German Kia stores list all Niro models with this name?

      Hi!

I've just checked in the my vehicle's COC.

It goes ny the name of Kia Niro EV SG2 or either Kia Niro EV (SG2).

SG2 obviously stands for Second Generation since all Kia Niros (independent from the drive unit) have faced an update from 2022 onwards.

      Regards,

      Dirk Kutscher

P.S.: I've just had a look at Sweden. SG2 ist used there as well. See link:

The Kia e-Niro 2022+ currently shown as available in the app does not actually exist under that model name.

From the 2022 model year onward, Kia rebranded the vehicle from Kia e-Niro to Kia Niro EV. This newer version is not just a name change; it also has a significantly updated exterior and interior design compared to the older e-Niro model that is currently displayed in the app.

The correct model should therefore be listed as:

    Kia Niro EV 64.8 kWh

Please see the picture below for the correct vehicle/model reference.

The design and name are incorrect, this sums up the Key differences

For clarification, this below (image 1) is what the e-Niro 2022+ selection currently (faulty) looks like:

This is a mockup of what a Kia Niro EV 2022+ really looks like (it is also called “Niro EV” instead of “e-Niro” - so maybe it would classify as a new vehicle rather than merged with “e-Niro”)

    2023 Kia Niro EV

I am just signing up and noticed that my vehicle is NOT listed in the system to make my trip planning easier, why is that and how do we correct it? You have every other Kia except the NIRO EV. Please advise.
