Incorrect range - BYD YUAN UP/YUAN PRO
This suv has a range of 380 km. By using the map between cities at about 250 km apart I can tell the range was incorrectly setup to 280 km
You can see it evidently by planning a route from “Saltillo, Coahuila” to “Torreon, Coahuila”

Hi @Osvaldo Alonso,
What do you base the 380 km range value on?
We’ve used the usable battery capacity and other details provided to calculate the reference consumption. We don’t use any fixed ‘range’ value in our modeling.
The model is tagged with alpha until we can improve it based on real-world data. If you feel that your driving style consumes less, you can lower the value for ‘reference consumption’.
Feel free to provide a link to a plan.

Based on daily usage of mine and the small community in my city. We have all consistently achieved what the manufacturer says the range is +-5% Guess we’ll wait for real world-data for this to be fixed. In the meantime I’ve done as you suggested with the reference consumption.
What methods are used to acquire real data? Just want to make sure I can contribute as well :)

You can see what we list for other BYD models here;

Currently there’s no other option than OBD that we’ve made work at least for some models. You can submit a ticket here for OBD integration for BYD Yuan Up here;

We’re in discussion with Enode about supporting BYD as well but there will be some restrictions due to how BYD has implemented the connection to their vehicles / app. Ticket here; Enode support for BYD vehicles
