"We could not find SoC in the car data response" 2026 Subaru Solterra

I am receiving the "Error while handling OBD data commands. We could not find SoC in the car data response" message when attempting to connect to a 2026 Subaru Solterra through BLE on a OBDLinkCX. What are the best steps to connect the Solaterra live data?

    Hello @Carl Benson,

    Does the message pop up during setup or all the time?

    If this happens during setup, you need to make sure the car is turned on and ready to drive, since some vehicles do not report when they are in parked mode.

      It happens during setup with the car turned on and ready to drive.

      The error has changed. Now I get a green check for “Loading car configuration” and “BLE connection status,” but a red X for “Car connection status.” An error box pops up that says: “OBD Connection Failed / Please check the following: / Is the OBD dongle properly plugged into your car’s OBD port?” The rest of the error message does not display in the popup (is covered by the blue “Retry” button). I’m not understanding how the BLE connection can be successfully established without the OBD dongle properly plugged into the OBD port. In any case, the OBDLink can connect with the dongle and does report some kind

      of SoC data.
