How to set the charging speed?

I have a MG ZS EV and it charges at 50kW. Yet ABRP continually plans to charge at 150kW or more (or at least it says that is what I should do). in the particular example it says to charge for 24min at 150kW (from 37% to almost 80%) it feels like 24 min at 50kW would do that, but that isn’t what the app says to do. How do I fix it?

    Hi @Brian Crisp,

    According to the data I can find online, the older ZS models should be able to charge with a peak higher than 50 kW, and our model matches this.

    Bear in mind that we calculate the charging based on the charging curve associated with the vehicle, but it’ll not change the details displayed for the charger location.

    If you still want to edit the charging speed, you can do so on each individual charging stop by tapping/clicking the settings icon to the right of the charging stop in the itinerary.

    Hi,

    I have no clue where you are looking ‘on line’ to see speeds greater than 50kW, but I don’t think they apply to my vehicle, I’ve seen it do 52 or so, but no more. Mine is a 2022/12 build. AI seems to think incredible speeds are achievable, the most resonable I can see on line are that you should get 80kW up to 30% then it decays and an average charge (below 80%) will be about high 40s. I don’t really want to have to adjust every plan. How can I set this?

      We’re not fumbling with AI hallucinations when it comes to gathering vehicle data.

      By ‘online’ I of course mean official manufacturer data sheets, websites, ev-database, manufacturer provided data etc. somewhat depending on which market the vehicle is in.

      It is possible we’ve overlooked a model for the Australian market; the Chinese brands tend to push out a wild variety of configs for the different markets. If that’s the case see; I am missing a vehicle, how can I request it be added?

      You cannot manually change the charging curve.
