How chargers are selected

I make a trip 2 times a year from Waynesville,NC to Kingsland, GA. I charge to 80%. The planner has my first charge on Harbison Blvd, Columbia, SC and I ideally have to wait. I believe these chargers are largely used by locals. Several months ago Pilot Flying J installed new chargers a few miles further on my route in Caycee which I think would cater more to travelers but the

Planner doesn’t send me there.

With Pilot Flying J, loves, and Circle K all adding charges why would the app not utilize these?
