Guidepoints Meant to Display on Trip Plans or Not?
The previous bug of an array of options failing to display after a long press on a point along a trip (on an iPad) has been resolved and is now displaying properly, but the Guidepoints do not display in the Trip Plans, which I’m assuming they’re meant to.

The guidepoints are not a stop and will not appear in the plan. It’s just a place you are passing by.

Linda, then what possible use is it?
You get to add it, then for all practical use, it disappears?
Where as I find the notion of a Guidepoint, that I don’t actually stop at, but want to clearly identify that I have passed, as very useful.

For example if you want to drive Carson city - Santa Barbara and you want to drive along the coast from Santa Cruz. Then you set a guidepoint at Santa Cruz because we don’t go that way otherwise. With guidepoints, you control the route through places or cities where you want to drive but not stop.

This bug is present on my iPad 10, and on my iPhone 14 Pro.
Update: after a restart on my iPad, the addition is added and displays to the trip Plan, UNTIL the Plan button is pressed, at which point the added Guidepoint disappears.
This bug is NOT effecting Waypoints, which are functioning and displaying perfectly when the Plan button is pressed.
