Correction Request: Restricted Stations of BR Super Carga on the App

Dear Team,

I hope this message finds you well. My name is Raphael, and I am responsible for the operations of the BR Super Carga charging network. We have identified an issue where some of our stations are being listed as "restricted" on your app, preventing users from viewing them while planning their routes.

We kindly request a review and correction of this information to ensure that our chargers are properly displayed, as they are fully operational and have no access restrictions.

    • Name: BR Super Carga - Carajas Marechal Deodoro [BR Super Carga]: The charger is in a parking lot that's behind gates. We could also find confirmation from other sources that it's not available 24/7. Actions: corrected coordinates.

    • Name: BR Super Carga - Carajas Maceio Mangabeiras [BR Super Carga]: The chargers are located in a parking garage that it's not open 24/7, and other sources confirm it. No actions taken.

    • Name: BR Super Carga - Hotel Rio Parnaiba [BR Super Carga]: Changed to public, not restricted.

    • Name: Avenida Sebastião Correia da Rocha Tabuleiro, Maceió [BR Super Carga]: Name already corrected when checked. No actions taken.

    • Name: R. Mal. Deodoro da Fonseca, 690 Brasilia,, Arapiraca [BR Super Carga]: Name already corrected when checked. No actions taken.

    • Name: Rua Motorista Aldovandro Amâncio Pereira, João Pessoa [BR Super Carga]: Name already corrected when checked. No actions taken.

    • Name: BR-316 [BR Super Carga]: Corrected name to Lili Doces - Estaca Zero [BR Super Carga].

    • Name: Carajás Cabedelo [BR Super Carga]: Recently added to the database.

    So in conclusion, some locations should be tagged ‘restricted’ as they’re not accessible 24/7. Let me know if this is incorrect.

    Hi @Raphael Rocha,

    Thank you for reporting. Can you confirm that all the chargers you’re asking to have the ‘restricted’ tag removed from are accessible 24/7 to all drivers (not just customers or similar)?

    We receive most locations from the same source but the following one we receive from openchargemap.org which users themselves can make edits to;

    I’ll request that our data provider adds it with the correct name, but until then please refer to openchargemap.org for making the name correction.

    As you say you are responsible for the network, do you think it would be possible to receive live status from your chargers?

      Thank you for your support.
      I would like to clarify that all our stations operate 24/7, with no access restrictions for users.

      We use Open Charge Map to register our stations and ensure they appear on ABRP. As far as we know, all stations were correctly named, so we are not sure why they are not displayed properly on ABRP. I recently made some updates and will wait to see if everything adjusts as expected.

      We would be delighted to provide real-time status for our stations on ABRP in the future, but at the moment, we do not yet have an OCPI integration to make this possible.

        Hi Raphael,

        Great! The reason I’m asking is since the ‘restricted’ status of course should be applied if that would’ve been the case. But in some cases, it has been applied automatically by our data provider due to the charger being situated in a place where the risk is high that it is restricted, such as near a shopping centre, in a parking garage etc.

        I’ll go ahead and ask them to remove the restricted tag for the affected locations.

        Superb that you’re using OCM. We do import data from OCM, as long as it has been added and edited by humans (there are some locations they import automatically from other sources, but these we skip).

        But OCM is not our only source for chargers; we fetch data from multiple sources, and as mentioned, the source for most of the chargers visible in ABRP is not OCM at the moment. Instead, it is Eco-movement;

        This means that the changes you made in OCM recently will (likely) not reflect in ABRP since we prefer EM over OCM when deciding which version of a charger we display on the map and include in planning.

        → Do let me know if there are more corrections that should be made to the locations and I’ll tell EM.

        If you’re not feeding EM data at the moment, they’re probably getting the information from some source that you do provide data to. Once you are able to provide live status information, getting in touch with them would be the way to go since they provide us with live status information for most chargers at the moment.

          Thank you so much for the clarification. It’s great to understand how ABRP uses data from different sources.

          Regarding the stations listed as "restricted," I appreciate you requesting the removal of the tag for the affected locations. All our stations indeed operate without any restrictions, so it’s great to see this being corrected.

          About the use of Eco-movement (EM) as the primary source, it was very helpful to learn this.

          At the moment, we’re not directly feeding data to EM, so the information is coming from OCM. Once we’re ready to provide live status updates, we’ll make sure to contact them to establish a direct and efficient integration.

          I’ll review the information about our stations, and if I find other corrections that need to be made, I’ll share them.

            I’ve now submitted a ticket with EM regarding these corrections.

            Even if you’re not able to provide them with live status at the moment, I still think it would be good to reach out to them regarding how you can keep the locations in their database up to date more automatically / in your control :)
