Connection to OBD device only works first time

I have the app, with the premium subscription and I have managed to link the app to my car through an OBD ble device. This worked great and I could see my battery % on android auto.

Once I had parked the car and then come back to it the app doesn't seem to reconnect to the car. The battery % on android auto is in red with a line through the symbol next to the numbers. I have tried unplugging and replugging the obd device, and also a different OBD device. But I only seem to be able to get the live data the first time I connect to the obd device and then subsequent drives don't connect.

    Hi,

    I have just turned off the data via android auto so will try this later today.

    I have tried 2 dongles so far and both times they connect fine on the initial connection and then won't pull the data from the 2nd trip.

    I also tried going back into the link page and it shows the dongle as blue and when I click on it I get a popup saying that the dongle is already linked.

    Hi @Rich Hawkins ,

    I see data from your vehicle, but mostly from your Android Auto. A long shot in troubleshooting is to try turning it off.

    I assume you also tried to unlink + relink your connection: (…unplugging and replugging the obd device, and also a different OBD device.)

      On my way home it seemed to connect once I had unplugged/replugged the obd dongle. Then it kept connection all the way home.

      I will keep an eye on it but perhaps it was the android auto data which was causing the issue.
