I recently had to reinstal ABRP on my Android device and noticed that the generic token is no longer dusplayed.
Researching this, I found some posts stating that the “The Generic option is only for developers.”
As a paid subscriber, I have a couple questions regarding this change:
1. Was this update announced to users? I may have missed the communication.
2. What is the reason for this change, considering this was the primary method for users to connect to non-BLE OBD readers, via torque or other apps?
Loosing the ability to connect my ‘regular ‘bluetooth OBD reader to ABRP via third-party apps significantly reduces the utility of ABRP for me, and, I believe, many other users
I look forward to your clarification on this matter.
