ABRP not working well with CarPlay

I’ve noticed the second I lock my iPhone with a route planned, it’s freezes on both CarPlay and iPhone, if I leave the iPhone unlocked, it works how it should.

Also for some reason ABRP keeps defaulting this is the main maps for CarPlay, which I don’t want. It should really go back to Apple Maps in my example.

Is there anyway to a) be able to lock my iPhone and have this app work b) only show ABRP when requested.

Paying for this service and being left with this seems to leave a bitter taste to be finest.
