When manually adding a charging stop, users can currently set a charging duration (e.g., 2 hours) or a specific departure time. However, there is no option to set a target state of charge (SoC) (e.g., 80% or 100%) as the goal for the charging stop.
This feature would be extremely useful in cases where the charging time is not the priority, but reaching a specific SoC is. For example, during a meal stop or sightseeing, the user may want to ensure that their vehicle charges up to a specific percentage without needing to calculate or adjust the time manually.
Proposed Solution:
Add an input field for "Target SoC" in the waypoint options menu when manually adding a charging stop.
Allow ABRP to calculate the required charging time based on the target SoC and display it as part of the stop details.
Benefits:
Improved flexibility for users when planning stops with uncertain durations.
More intuitive manual adjustments to routes, especially for users who prioritize SoC over duration.
