ABRP + Vgate OBD2 on Jeep Avenger BEV

Questions

I have a problem with ABRP + Vgate iCar Pro Mini OBD2 Bluetooth on my Avenger Summit BEV.

The same Vgate on the Zoe R135 with ABRP does not cause me any problems.

On the Avenger, however, it happens that after a few minutes of regular activity, the car starts to switch the dashboard off and then on again, and give various malfunction warnings.

If I leave the Vgate connected without activating ABRP I have no problem, but as soon as ABRP is executed, after a few minutes the above-mentioned problems occur.

I think it depends on some command that ABRP sends to the Vgate, which sends some of the Avenger's ECUs into a tailspin.

Is there any solution?

    Hi

    To help us figure out what happen we need you to send a bug report. First you need to enable the bug button in the settings. Go to the settings and scroll all the way down.

    The bug button will show on your screen. When the OBD is connected to your car click at the button. Then let me know when you have done this.

      Hello Linda,

      I created a diag file just yesterday minutes ago, when the error occurred. Suddenly my Jeep Avenger reset both displays and then became to show some errors. How can I sent the diag file to you? After I pushed the “bug” button, I saw an Id number at the bottom of the screen. Do you need it? However it’s 435119.

        My colleague looked at this and it seems like the Stelantis Pids just don't work properly on the Avenger. So unfortunately there is nothing we can do.

        If you are familiar with how the car scanner works my colleague wrote this:
        “The only thing left he could try is to remove one command at a time in our OBD Pid Editor and check if it helps anything.”

          Hello Linda,

          finally I discovered where the problem was.

          The OBD2 Avenger connector pinout, is not standard.

          Now ABRP is working fine :)

        My colleague is looking at it. We have had four days of Easter and also have several users with OBD problem so we are trying to figure out what’s wrong.

        Can you try to see if you get any data to the car scanner app if you select the “OBD-II EOBD Electric profile in car scanner?

          Hello Linda,

          can you help me in configuring that parameter?

          I’m not able to find it.

          I tryied to delete and join again the ODB (I’m trying with another one), but the only one thing that I can do, is to select the ODB dongle and associate it to the ABRP app.

            You need to install car scanner and select that profile after selecting Jeep.

              Hello Linda,

              I installed the program and followed your instructions, and I’ve got the data.

              Unfortunately I had the same problem also with Car Scanner.

              I think that there is some command that cause the problem.

              Is it possible to log the dialog between the app and the car, in order to identify the command (or the commands) involved in this problem?

              do you have news?

              Because of the integration with Jeep Avenger is still in beta and I suppose that it’s the reason of the issue, if you like I’m available to help you in any test you have to do.

              I like ABRP and it has been my travel companion in a lot of travels with my other electric car Renault Zoe.

              Now I’d like to use it with my Jeep Avenger, and this is the reason of my renewing payment of the year subscription.
