ABRP inability to route around road closures

This is for me a critical faeture that is still missing in ABRP. The app does not have road closure information and isn’t routing around it, making the app completely unusable and unreliable. When all the other navigation services have this and are free, it begs the question why we pay for Premium here and get worse service. I will provide an example.

Since ABRP is using OSM for maps and data, I actually took the trouble to learn how to implement road closures in OSM and started doing it locally few weeks ago. Let’s use this very specific closure in this location:

You can check OSM data that tag vehicle no is present and OSM correctly routes around the closure. The closure has been there for over a year and will be there for several more months.

Now I have tried the same in ABRP just now, I get routed into that closure regardless. ABRP is clearly not capable of working with it and it’s a major flaw that needs to be fixed immediately. Because even if I take the time to actually update road closures for my town, it’s all for nothing.

ALso of note, OSM is not very user friendly for this and ABRP should consider finding different partners to get the data.

      Do not know why the error appears. Nothing seems to be missing and leads to correct street.

      Can try again with this link directly to coordinates, for some reason the previous one was generated with search function.

        Do you use real-time traffic?

        My colleague will change the tagging so it works in ABRP. It can take up to two weeks before you see the change. He says it should be like this:highway = construction + construction = tertiary

          I am sorry, but both of those things prove my point. ABRP needs to abandon this system as fast as possible. Change taking 2 weeks when road closures can happen unplanned is not a workable solution. Tagging like that and relying on very specific and obscure way to tag from a opensource mapping tool, relying on other people tagging specifically for ABRP is also not a reliable way to get data. I checked OSM manual on how to tag road closures and it used the vehicle tag. It means people doing it will follow the manual, aka, your data will always be corrupted, you will never see any of the closures.
