2017 Nissan Leaf - with warranty battery change

The battery in my 2017 Nissan Leaf did not meet the terms of the factory warranty so Nissan replaced it with a new 40 kW battery. There are a lot of Gen 1 Leafs out there that had the same upgrade performed so I believe it warrants a vehicle option to be made available accordingly. Thanks!

    I agree that for Gen 1 Leafs, battery upgrades and swaps have become pretty common. Since the 30 kWh packs are no longer produced, all replacements under warranty are now the 40 kWh versions.

    I have a Gen 1 Leaf myself that’s running an OEM 62 kWh battery from a 2025 model. It would be great if selecting or upgrading to a specific battery type were an option.
