From what I’ve read, some devices plugged into the OBD2 port can pull power even when the car is (supposedly) off. I’m not sure how much power a reasonable BLE dongle would draw. But, in my experience (with a Kia Niro & EV6) there is no appreciable battery drain with the OBDLink CX OBD2 dongle — even when the car is left idle for a month or so. As an added benefit, the OBDLink is also less insecure than some of the other options out there.
