For, e.g. Volkswsgen ID.3 or likewise, the car warms up the battery if one is starting to drive with a battery temperature at or below 0°C. This is an energy taken out of the battery that is currently not taken into consideration. Consequently, it leads to a huge mismatch between planned and needed consumption of energy. As Li-Batteries possilby all have the same heat capacity per kWh, it may be relatively easy, using battery capacity and temperature of the battery at heating start and stop, to estimate the needed energy for the battery warm up.
