I appreciate the effort that went into redesigning ABRP 7.0.0 — the new interface looks modern and visually appealing. However, after using it for few days, I find myself wishing I could return to version 6.1.9. The previous layout was much more intuitive for me, and several features I relied on are now missing or harder to access.
A few concrete points:
I can no longer set the wind direction manually, which was an important parameter for accurate planning.
Temperatures can only be entered above 0°, which limits realistic planning in colder climates.
Many settings are now harder to find; the old menu structure was clearer and more efficient to navigate.
In the previous version, I could choose which data from my OBD dongle should be used. That option seems to be gone.
The menu for a fully planned route feels lost of route informations.
Most importantly: I can no longer send planned destinations or waypoints to Waze. This forces me to use Google Maps or Apple Maps, neither of which I prefer.
The indicator showing whether the dongle is connected has moved to the bottom. It’s not a major issue, but I found the previous placement better.
The app no longer reacts when I finish charging (“I’m done charging”). During charging, I also can’t see the planned target SoC anymore, so I have to remember it from before. The charging graph is also missing.
Will you bring these features back?
The additional weight setting has disappeared as well.
I also can’t find where to configure a trailer anymore — is this feature still available?
On a positive note: I do like the new option to visualize my car and even assign it a color. It’s a nice touch — though not something I personally needed.
Overall, I hope future updates will restore the functionality and clarity that made ABRP such a powerful tool.
